Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, sourcing materials, and negotiating contracts to ensure the efficient operation of our supply chain. This position requires a strong understanding of purchasing principles, supplier management, and logistics, along with proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS. MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH FISHBOWL SOFTWARE
Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services necessary for production using FIshbowl
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- PHYSICAL COUNTING OF INVENTORY TO BALANCE and ORDER based on production using FISHBOWL
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms while ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, and quality management to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.
- Utilize MRP and ERP systems for effective inventory management and production planning.
- Implement category management strategies to optimize sourcing decisions across various product lines.
- Perform root cause analysis on procurement issues to identify solutions and improve processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships through effective supplier management practices.
- Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures while maintaining accurate records of purchasing activities.
Requirements
- FISHBOWL SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE APPLICANTAS ONLY
- Proven experience in procurement management or a related field, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as FISHBOWL or Oracle EBS is essential.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including logistics and materials management.
- Familiarity with quality management practices and pricing strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of federal acquisition regulations is a plus.

Pay: $24.17 - $35.00 per hour
