Fit-Out Engineer

Overview:

Marmi Engineering Co. W.L.L., a leader in Qatar's dynamic construction and design sector, is seeking an experienced Fit-Out Engineer to join our project delivery team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the interior fit-out aspects of our projects, ensuring the highest standards of design implementation and project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for design excellence, and a proven track record in managing fit-out projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Execution:

• Lead fit-out projects, coordinating with architects, designers, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Manage the scheduling, planning, and resourcing of fit-out projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Design Coordination:

• Collaborate closely with design teams to understand project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure that fit-out works are carried out according to the approved designs and specifications.

Supplier and Contractor Management:

• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the best quality of materials and workmanship.
• Conduct site visits and meetings with contractors and suppliers to monitor progress and resolve any issues promptly.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Implement quality control procedures and standards for fit-out works, conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance.
• Address any deficiencies in design implementation or construction quality, ensuring corrective measures are taken promptly.

Budget Management:

• Prepare and manage budgets for fit-out projects, monitoring expenditures to ensure financial targets are met.
• Provide regular financial reports to management, highlighting cost implications and budgetary adjustments as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all fit-out activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Promote a culture of safety on-site, implementing health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Fit-Out Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed interior fit-out projects.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in CAD software and project management tools.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
