Fitness Desk Staff

JOB SUMMARY

Park Center Health and Fitness is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to be a part of our fitness team.

Responsible for the fitness center during assigned shifts including:

• Fitness Desk Staff will check patron into computer system, answer the phone and complete transactions on the computer.
• They will ensure patrons are following the rules, encourage patrons to clean their machines, and provide great customer service.
• Cleaning and organization are key in keeping our facility enjoyable for patrons by refilling amenities, doing laundry and cleaning locker rooms, machines and desk.
• Give tours and keep track of inquiry information
• Give equipment orientations to new members.
• Providing first aid to patrons may be needed.
• Job requires bending, lifting and standing for long periods of time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A friendly, enthusiastic and energetic personality a must.
• Proven success in a prior customer service role highly desirable.
• Outstanding communication skills both in person and over the phone.
• Computer skills essential.
• A self-starter who takes initiative to complete a variety of tasks.
• Applicants must be 18 years old or better.

SCHEDULING & PAY

This is a year-round part-time three (PT3) position. Starting pay is $16 to $18.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

Position will work approximately 15 to 20 hours / week:

• Set schedule of either:
  • Monday & Wednesday 4:45pm to 9:30pm plus Saturday 11:45am to 5:30pm
  • Monday through Thursday 3:45pm to 7pm plus Sundays 11:45pm to 5:30pm
• There is also the opportunity to be scheduled for additional shifts outside of the specific shifts.
• Required to work the annual July Fitness Event and attend all meetings/trainings.
