Job Title: Fitness Manager

Experience: 8-12 Years

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Management:
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of certified personal trainers and group fitness instructors.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all fitness programs and services.
  • Fitness Program Management:
  • Develop, implement, and oversee a diverse range of innovative and effective fitness programs, including personal training, group fitness classes, and specialized workshops.
  • Ensure all fitness programs align with industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Monitor program participation and effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to maximize member engagement and results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest fitness trends, equipment, and technologies.
  • Member Engagement and Retention:
  • Act as a point of contact for member inquiries and concerns related to fitness services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention.
  • Organize fitness challenges, events, and workshops to promote member engagement and community building.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service within the fitness department.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
  • Set and achieve departmental sales targets for personal training and other fitness services.
  • Train the fitness team on effective sales techniques and lead generation strategies.
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns to drive fitness service sales.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve results.
  • Operational Management:
  • Ensure the fitness floor and studios are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of fitness equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of fitness supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all fitness staff hold valid certifications and maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety protocols.
  • Implement and enforce safety guidelines to prevent injuries.
  • Maintain accurate records of member participation and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in the fitness industry, with at least 3-5 years in a management role.
  • Nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM).
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a fitness team and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of various fitness modalities, including strength training, cardiovascular exercise, flexibility, and functional training.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire both team members and gym members.
  • Proficiency in fitness software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CPR/AED certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
