Fitter Helper Apprentice

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Fitter lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms per customer specifications.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assembles according to specifications.

· Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding of structural forms.

· Tack-welds and/or welds components using welding equipment.

· Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

· Reviews finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings.

· Adheres to all safety and quality standards.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Blueprint reading

· Shop Math

· Attention to Detail

· Overhead Crane Use

· Hi-Lo License

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Shop Environment

· Dirty/Dusty Environment

· Loud, Frequent Noises

· Ability to lift approximately 50lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
