Fitter/Welder

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GMAW welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret shop drawings. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring high-quality welds, and maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using GMAW techniques to fabricate metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools, Tape measures.
• Assemble metal parts according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity and quality.
• Operate forklifts safely to transport materials within the work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in welding, specifically GMAW.
• Proficient in using measuring tools such as tape measures.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in welding and fabrication.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn CNC plasma, Press brake operations

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
