Fixed Assets Accountant

Nicolas Cabrera Chef is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fixed Assets Accountant to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full fixed asset lifecycle, ensuring accurate asset tracking, maintaining proper capitalization records, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

This role is well-suited for a finance professional who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in accuracy, asset governance, and process efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate recording of acquisitions, disposals, and transfers
• Track asset capitalization, depreciation schedules, and monthly journal entries
• Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger on a regular basis
• Ensure proper tagging, verification, and physical inventory of company assets
• Monitor asset utilization and support asset lifecycle management processes
• Prepare fixed asset reports, depreciation summaries, and month-end closing entries
• Support audits by providing detailed fixed asset documentation and schedules
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and company policies
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams regarding asset purchases and movements
• Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset tracking systems and controls

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fixed assets or general accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and fixed asset accounting standards
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Experience in hospitality, F&B, or multi-location operations is an advantage
