Flag Football League Manager

Overview
Per season, mostly only on the weekend, for 7 weeks. 2 - 4 Seasons per year. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Football Manager to lead our youth football program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in organization and management, sports coaching, and experience working with children and parents. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively, ensuring a positive and productive environment for both players and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in advertising and promotion of the league to the community at large, which may include schools, school districts and youth sports clubs.
• Organize and oversee practice sessions, games, and tournaments.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages player development and sportsmanship.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaching staff regarding schedules, expectations, and performance feedback.
• Manage conflicts that may arise among players, coaches, parents and or referees, ensuring resolutions are handled professionally.
• Monitor game day progress to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
• Monitor the field set up and tear down procedures to ensure consistency with our league standards.
• Collect stat sheets from coaches and score cards from referees at the end of each game day.

Qualifications

• Experience in sports coaching, particularly in football a plus.
• Experience working with children in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
• Strong conflict management skills to address issues promptly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with players, parents, and staff.
• A passion for developing young athletes both on and off the field.
• Ability to motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential.
