As a certified professional, you will be responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic with confidence, adhering to safety standards, and supporting construction crews in maintaining a secure work environment. Duties

• Safely direct traffic around construction zones using standardized hand signals, flags, and signage to protect workers and the public
• Set up and maintain proper traffic control devices, including cones, barricades, and signs, in accordance with ATSSA (American Traffic Safety Services Association) guidelines
• Communicate clearly with construction teams, motorists, and pedestrians to ensure awareness of ongoing work activities
• Monitor work zones continuously for safety hazards or traffic issues and respond promptly to mitigate risks
• Assist with the installation, removal, and maintenance of temporary traffic control equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to uphold OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards
• Support additional construction activities such as basic equipment operation if certified or trained in heavy machinery like dozers, loaders, backhoes, or graders

Requirements

• Valid certification as a Traffic Control Flagger is preferred but not required; certification must be current and maintained regularly
• Prior experience working on construction sites or in traffic management is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
• Knowledge of traffic control devices, signage standards, and safety regulations is essential
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and the public
• Basic understanding of construction processes and site safety practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
