Flatbed Trucking Dispatcher / Driver Manager (Experienced – DAT & Truckstop Required)

We are a fast-paced flatbed trucking company seeking an experienced Dispatcher / Driver Manager who knows how to move freight profitably—not just cover loads. This role requires strong knowledge of flatbed operations, load securement considerations, and daily use of DAT and Truckstop load boards.

You will be responsible for managing drivers, booking high-quality freight, negotiating rates, and maximizing truck utilization while maintaining strong communication with both drivers and brokers.

If you’ve only worked van/reefer or need constant hand-holding, this is not the role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and manage a fleet of flatbed drivers daily
• Source and book loads using DAT and Truckstop
• Negotiate rates with brokers to maximize profitability
• Plan efficient routes and reload strategies
• Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
• Communicate consistently with drivers and resolve issues in real-time
• Track loads, update customers/brokers, and handle check calls
• Understand flatbed freight requirements (tarps, chains, straps, etc.)
• Maintain compliance with HOS and DOT regulations
• Build and maintain broker relationships

Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

• Minimum 3+ years experience in trucking dispatch (flatbed preferred)
• Hands-on experience with DAT and Truckstop load boards
• Strong understanding of flatbed freight and securement requirements
• Proven ability to negotiate rates and find profitable freight
• Ability to manage multiple drivers and prioritize under pressure
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing 5–15+ trucks
• Existing broker relationships
• Knowledge of regional and national flatbed lanes
• Experience with TMS systems

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
