The Facilities Team at Givens Estates (https://givensestates.org/), a leading continuing care retirement community in Asheville, has a Full-Time Fleet Coordinator - Small Engine Mechanic position available. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the fleet – purchasing, maintenance, DOT documents, etc. as well as more administrative functions. Also, provide small engine and equipment repairs and purchasing supplies and inventory.

The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm.

What you'll do:

• Responsible for vehicle/equipment maintenance
• Ensure registration, licenses, and inspections are up to date and recorded properly
• Manage the contracting and/or outsourcing of specific maintenance functions or operations
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer’s guidelines on vehicles and equipment
• Assist in removal of snow and ice from bridges, walks, and road
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

• Must have, as a minimum, six months experience in a grounds worker capacity, or related field
• High School or GED equivalent is preferred
• Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License

Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour based on background and experience, plus our comprehensive benefits package!
