Fleet Maintenance Manger

Position Summary:

The Fleet Maintenance Manger is primarily responsible for managing all company fleet owned assets (i.e., vehicles, trailers and serialize equipment etc.). This person must be organized, understand the basics of fleet, facilities and safety policies, and capable of refining policies as business needs change over time. This position requires a high level of communication within Novak Diesel. This person should be someone who is task oriented and capable of effective prioritization as these tasks are often time sensitive and high volume.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee all fleet documentation, maintenance, scheduling, and registration.
  • Track costs associated with each vehicle for forecasting appropriate decommissioning.
  • Complete accident/incident reports along with all insurance claims when deemed appropriate.
  • Decommission of equipment as it surpasses its service life/becomes obsolete.
  • Oversee & develop safety protocol in compliance with OSHA and US transportation laws & regulations.
  • Enforce asset policies and coordinate with HR/F&A when employees are responsible for damage to company owned equipment.

Facilities Management:

  • Oversee building & grounds appearance and maintenance.
  • Facilitate needed building repairs (plumbing, electrical, roof, AC, lighting, etc.)
  • Coordinate with vendors that provide services to our shop and maintain organization.
  • Oversee and coordinate disbursement of Novak Diesel branded merchandise to internal members including tracking and policy adherence.
  • Coordinate with HR to provide onboarding packages for new hires.

Safety Management:

  • Administer Company's Safety Manual and adherence to Policies & Procedures
  • Manage all OSHA Safety Logs and Reporting Requirements
  • Maintain all Employee Safety Training Records and Requirements
  • Promote Company's Safety Culture

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required: Associate's or Advanced Degree preferred
  • Relevant experience would include general administrator, fleet management, purchasing, or asset management duties in previous employment.
  • Experience in the HVAC, Plumbing, or other industry related experience preferred.
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management preferred.
  • Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) preferred.
  • Proactive, Organized, and able to Mange multiple tasks & projects.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication.

Note: This position may require heavy lifting, soldering, tire service, customer service, and welding skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
