In support of the Superintendent of Streets, Fleet and Fixed Operations and Fleet Manager conducting maintenance for all city equipment. Strong emphasis on preventative maintenance. Work will be required but not limited to light, medium, and heavy vehicles/equipment, buses and emergency vehicles. Responsibilities involving work orders and documentation are required. Work in other classifications will be assigned as necessary.

Knowledge of methods, materials and tools required for repair and preventative maintenance of all city equipment and vehicles.

Knowledge on driving and operation procedures for sedans, trucks, heavy equipment, and buses.

Knowledge of work order procedures and documentation of fleet maintenance.

Knowledge of safety procedures involved with fleet maintenance.

Knowledge of welding, torching, and fabricating procedures for the repair and maintenance of city equipment.

Knowledge of lubrication and fluid changes on city equipment.

Knowledge on operation of and procedures for snow plowing.
