Job Title: Fleet Management Specialist

Department: Operations / Logistics

Reports To: Fleet Manager

Job Purpose

The Fleet Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and optimizing the company’s vehicle fleet to ensure operational efficiency, cost control, safety compliance, and maximum vehicle availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, utilization, and availability
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, servicing, repairs, and inspections
• Ensure compliance with company policies, traffic regulations, and safety standards
• Track fuel consumption, mileage, and operating costs; identify cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with drivers, vendors, workshops, and insurance providers
• Maintain accurate fleet records, documentation, licenses, and registrations
• Investigate and report accidents, violations, and insurance claims
• Support fleet audits and prepare periodic performance and cost reports
• Implement fleet management systems and continuous improvement initiatives

• Fuel efficiency and consumption variance

• Compliance and safety incident rate

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet cost control
• Experience with fleet management systems and reporting tools

Preferred
