Fleet Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to lead our transportation operations and optimize fleet performance. In this role, you will oversee vehicle maintenance, coordinate dispatching, and ensure efficient routing to support our supply chain and logistics objectives. Your expertise in transportation management systems, data analysis, and communication will drive operational excellence and enhance overall fleet productivity. Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and routing to ensure timely delivery of freight.
• Utilize transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to monitor fleet performance, analyze data, and optimize routes.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Implement GPS and GIS technologies for real-time tracking and efficient transportation planning.
• Supervise shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation using AS400 or similar systems.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to develop strategies for freight movement, supply chain efficiency, and 3PL (third-party logistics) partnerships.
• Maintain clear communication with drivers, dispatchers, vendors, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards while managing fleet documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management or transportation planning within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with GPS tracking, GIS mapping tools, and telematics technology for fleet monitoring.
• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to freight movement and fleet performance.
• Proficiency in data entry, shipping & receiving procedures, and using systems like AS400 or SyteLine.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams using multi-line phone systems and maintain professional phone etiquette.
• Experience with dispatching, freight coordination, and logistics operations including 3PL partnerships.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
