Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and management of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will coordinate transportation activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and optimize logistics processes to support our supply chain and road transportation operations. Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle dispatching, routing, and scheduling using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and Vehicle Dispatch Software.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs to ensure safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools for route planning, traffic analysis, and real-time fleet tracking to enhance efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal teams on shipping & receiving, logistics, and supply chain activities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain accurate data entry related to fleet activities, driver logs, freight documentation, and internal communication records using systems like SyteLine and Alvys
• Manage phone call handling via multi-line phone systems for dispatching inquiries, customer service issues, or internal communication needs.
• Ensure adherence to DOT regulations and company policies through ongoing training and compliance monitoring.
• Foster effective communication across departments by managing internal channels and providing timely updates on fleet status.
• Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, or safety enhancements.
• Support customer service efforts by addressing driver or client inquiries professionally via phone or email.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management or transportation planning within a logistics or road transportation environment.
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or Vehicle Dispatch Software.
• Familiarity with GPS, mapping tools, and vehicle tracking technologies.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective communication skills for internal coordination and customer interactions via phone call management and email correspondence.
• Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards related to fleet operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) along with data entry skills.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures, freight handling, (third-party logistics) coordination is preferred.
• Ability to analyze operational data for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong typing skills and experience with transportation management systems like SyteLine or Alvys are advantageous.

Schedule 5am to 2pm Monday through Friday
