BryMak & Associates, Inc., a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business, is looking to fill a FLEET MECHANIC position at the FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER.
The Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of gas and diesel passenger buses to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various types of vehicles and possess a strong understanding of automotive systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks for gas and diesel passenger buses, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire inspections.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air conditioning systems in buses.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buses to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of the fleet.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fleet Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification from a recognized automotive mechanic training program is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record. (CDL licenses and Wrecker experience is a plus.)
Must be able to pass drug screening and be willing to submit to random drug screens.
Must be able to pass background check.
