Fleet Mechanic – FedEx Step Vans

We are a FedEx Ground contractor operating a fleet of 30 delivery vehicles and are looking for a reliable, experienced mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of Ford E-450 Step Vans (model years 2003–2018). The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working on all mechanical and electrical systems related to delivery trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, fluids, inspections)
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair and replace brakes, tires, starters, batteries, and suspension components
• Perform wiring and electrical troubleshooting
• Conduct preventive maintenance to keep fleet operating safely and efficiently
• Identify problems early and recommend repairs
• Maintain service records for fleet vehicles
• Ensure trucks are FedEx-compliant and road ready

Vehicles Serviced:

• Ford / Freightliner Step Vans / Box Trucks
• Model Years: 2007 – 2022

Qualifications:

• Experience working on commercial trucks or step vans preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple vehicle repairs
• Reliable and detail-oriented
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred (but not required):

• Experience working with delivery fleets
• Diesel and gas engine experience
