The Conservation Corps of Long Beach (CCLB) is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has helped young adults develop themselves since 1987. To date, more than 10,000 young people have participated in CCLB classes and service projects, learning new skills while contributing to the quality of life for residents of the greater Long Beach area.

Position Summary
The Fleet Supervisor will provide support as it relates to the organization’s fleet. Working in partnership with program directors, managers, coordinators, crew supervisors and vendors this position will ensure the Corps’ vehicle fleet is safe and properly functioning. The Fleet Supervisor with the support of the Operations Manager supports the agency’s fleet operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position will require excellent communication skills and the ability to work with outside agencies and vendors.

Schedule, supervise and direct CHP vehicle inspection and data collection activities throughout the agency.

Serve as a point of contact for all day-to-day interaction with Enterprise Fleet Services and other vehicle vendors.

Handle all internal correspondence related to fleet services; this may include citations, vehicle registrations, and vehicle repairs.
- Serve as an internal point of contact for all vehicle requests and issues.
- Seek, acquire and transmit approval for maintenance and repairs.

Provide assistance in transporting vehicles for preventative maintenance and repairs, if needed.

Provide support and maintain systems that enhance the agency’s fleet operations.

Monitor and follow up on vehicle smog check requirements.

Maintain current vehicle roster and disseminate information both internally and externally, as needed.

Ensure vehicles comply with government regulations
Compliance Requirements
- Prepare oral and written reports of fleet activities, as required; this includes safety orientation training, testing drivers, etc.
- Receive license plates, registrations and insurance renewals and ensure distribution to appropriate sites/operations staff; reorder registration tags, as needed.

Coordinate driver assessments to ensure competency to drive agency vehicles.

Maintenance of fleet list and vehicle registration and insurance certification.
Salary and Benefits:

$27.70 - $33.00 per hour (Rank 18) based on a level of experience and education that exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale (salary range).

Education and Experience:

One year of experience in working with young adults from a diverse social and ethnic background

A minimum of two (2) years dealing with fleet maintenance and tracking
Required Education And Experience

High School Diploma.

A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a professional office environment.

Ability to safely drive locally and maintain a clean driver’s record; Valid CA Driver’s License and be able to be insured on the CCLB driver’s policy
Preferred Education And Experience

Associate’s degree (from an accredited institution) or Bachelor's degree preferred.

A minimum of two (2) years with

Previous experience working in the non-profit or public sector.
