Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of a Terminal Manager is to understand Fleet needs, and train drivers according to the job duties. Manage and develop relationships with the drivers and maintain the fleet to increase overall driver productivity and retention. This position works closely with drivers, customers, and other company departments to ensure company objectives are met.
Essential Job Functions:

Assists in the administration and coordination of the fleet.

Administers Postal Operation Safety protocol with drivers.

Processes repair orders from start to finish in accordance with the company standard to ensure all information is tracked.

Works with outside vendors to track and update the progress of repairs and to manage the invoice process.

Maintains accurate records of vehicles.
-
Assists techs in managing parts inventory, parts ordering, and scheduling service repairs.

Ensures compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of DOT compliance as needed.

Schedules repairs or preventative maintenance and coordinates BIT inspections.
-
Ensures that the necessary number of fleet vehicles are available at all times.

Communicate vehicle needs and condition reports with the fleet manager.
-
Monitor and manage the driver’s time efficiently, ensuring that customer expectations are met for pickup and delivery.

DOT Hours of Service regulations are followed, and any delays are communicated to the dispatch/customer.

Ensure equipment meets and or exceeds companies and or DOT safety standards, for use at all times.

Moving equipment as needed for maintenance and advising maintenance of location and maintenance needs.

Always ensure safety compliance, providing driver training when needed, and participating in safety campaigns.

Tracking and recording drivers' performance from dispatch to delivery to ensure on-time service.

Working closely with safety, maintenance, and operations to ensure drivers comply with company policies and procedures.

Promptly answering phone calls, e-mails, voicemails, and other questions from co-workers and drivers.

Maintaining positive customer, driver, and carrier relations.

Develop relationships with drivers to ensure better performance and encourage driver retention.

Develop, write, and improve driver schedules, and or routes to optimize performance and efficiency.

Provide guidance, coach, mentor, and train drivers to ensure the success of the driver and AJR Trucking.

Audit driver timecards ensuring that they are filled out correctly, submitted on time, and accurately represent work performed.

Responsible for performing drive tests on potential driver candidates.

Perform additional duties as required.

Previous transportation management experience preferred.

Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations.

Compensation:
-
The pay is competitive, depending on experience ($70,000 - $75,000) and will be discussed during an in-person interview.
