We are looking for experienced, highly adaptable RBTs to join our team in the DFW area (Carrollton, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Wylie, McKinney)* in a part-time hybrid role* that blends on-call session coverage with additional clinic-based or remote responsibilities when not in session.

This is NOT an entry-level RBT position—this role is ideal for highly skilled therapists who can jump into new client sessions with minimal transition time and require little to no additional training.

What You’ll Be Doing:

--> Clinical Responsibilities:

• Be on-call for session coverage within xyzABA’s DFW service areas (Carrollton, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Wylie, McKinney, etc.).
• Travel between session locations as needed (xyzABA ensures travel time between sessions does not exceed 30-60 minutes whenever possible).
• Quickly pair with new clients and implement individualized behavior intervention plans with minimal preparation.
• Work independently with confidence and problem-solving skills, ensuring a smooth transition when covering for another therapist.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with the scheduling team regarding availability and session updates.
• Complete session documentation in a timely manner (within 24-48 hours of session completion).

--> Non-Billable Responsibilities (Clinic-Based or Remote)

• When not in session, assist with additional paid responsibilities that align with your skill set, interest, and company needs (e.g., program material preparation, data review, team collaboration).
• Participate in weekly staff meetings, clinical huddles, and ongoing professional development.
• Assist with scheduling needs, coverage coordination, or parent communication as directed.

What does a typical part-time schedule look like?

• Most part-time RBTs work one session per day. Most sessions fall between the hours of 11am-7:30pm.

How are hours structured?

• Part-time positions are flexible and not guaranteed a set number of hours per week, as scheduling is based on client needs and your availability. You’ll typically be matched with 1 consistent client to help provide recurring hours, and additional clients may be added over time. While there’s no hour minimum, we do try to build out a steady schedule whenever possible.

How long are sessions typically?

• Session lengths vary depending on the client’s needs and age, but most sessions are between 2 to 4 hours long. Some clients may have longer sessions (e.g., 5–6 hours), especially if they are home during the day, while others may have shorter after-school sessions. Your full-time schedule might include two shorter sessions with a break in between or one longer session per day — it all depends on how your caseload is built.

What does the team structure look like?

• Every RBT is assigned to a BCBA-led team. You’ll have a recurring caseload of clients within that team, which helps build consistency and strong relationships. We match you with clients based on your availability, experience, and preferences, and your BCBA is your go-to for ongoing support, training, and supervision. You’ll also be added to WhatsApp channels to stay in close communication with both your BCBA and your client families

What’s the pay structure?

You’ll receive two pay rates:

• Billable rate (direct session time) — Based on experience & education, typically starts at $20/hr+
• Non-billable rate (admin, drive time, breaks, meetings, etc.) — Standard rate is $16/hr

Do I get paid for drive time and meal breaks?

• Yes, between sessions (if you have more than 1 session a day)These are considered non-billable time and are added to your schedule as paid appointments on Central Reach.

What does onboarding and training include?

We provide structured onboarding with:

• Client-specific training
• Shadowing + observation checkpoints
• Remote and hands-on support
• At least 5% supervision, tracked using our supervision log

*We tailor support to each client so you feel confident before starting solo sessions.

Are there opportunities for growth?
