Flexo Machine Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Flexo Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining flexographic printing presses to produce high-quality packaging and label products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production workflows, precise color management, and adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flexo printing presses, ensuring proper registration, color matching, and print quality throughout production runs
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with prepress teams to review print files, verify color accuracy, and prepare plates for production
• Conduct quality control inspections during printing to detect defects or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments
• Manage inventory of printing supplies such as inks, plates, and substrates to ensure continuous workflow
• Follow safety protocols diligently and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Assist with machine calibration using tools such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment and machining techniques when necessary

Skills

• Strong knowledge of flexo press operation, including setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting
• Experience with screen printing, prepress processes, and color management techniques
• Proficiency in graphic design principles and layout design for print materials
• Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for preparing print files
• Understanding of manufacturing processes related to print advertising and packaging production
• Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling within the production area
• Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures to ensure consistent output
• Knowledge of typography and layout design principles for effective visual communication
• Experience with CNC machinery or machining techniques beneficial for press maintenance or customization
