Float Childcare Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and educational programs. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with children to promote their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and promotes literacy education, math skills, and physical education.
  • Create lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those requiring special education or early intervention.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all children.
  • Provide individualized attention to each child, fostering their unique interests and abilities.
  • Maintain open communication with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns related to child welfare.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
  • Supervise daily activities, including playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
  • Conduct assessments as needed to monitor children's development and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored for young learners.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience in behavior management strategies and tutoring is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $8.50 - $11.50 per hour
