Job Title: Floating Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) and/or Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Job Type: Part-time / Flexible
Location: Northern Twin Cities suburbs, MN
Pay: $40.00/hr (LDA) | $65.00/hr (RDH)
Employment type: W2 employee
About the role
We are a single-owner dental practice group in the northern Twin Cities suburbs seeking a skilled and adaptable dental professional for a unique floating position. This role allows you to work across our family of single-owner, private practices — all sharing the same ownership, values, policies, and practice management software — while enjoying a flexible schedule that fits your life. This is a W2 employee position, not a 1099 contractor arrangement.
Hours and compensation
- W2 employee — taxes withheld, consistent employer relationship
- Estimated 10–30 hours per week, with flexibility based on clinic need and your availability
- LDA: $40.00 per hour
- RDH: $65.00 per hour
- Hours and days will vary week to week — ideal for someone seeking a flexible schedule
What makes this opportunity unique
- Work exclusively within a single-owner group of private practices — not a corporate dental chain
- Learn our systems, software, and protocols once — then apply that knowledge across all locations
- Build genuine relationships with patients and staff across our clinics
- Enjoy the consistency and belonging of a real team, with the freedom of a flexible schedule
- No corporate quotas or high-pressure production expectations
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical dental assisting (LDA) or hygiene services (RDH) consistent with Minnesota scope of practice
- Support patient care across multiple single-owner clinic locations as scheduled
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in our practice management software
- Uphold a high standard of patient communication and care
- Follow established infection control, OSHA, and clinic-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota LDA and/or RDH license in good standing (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills and patient communication
- Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable with schedule variability
- Experience in a private practice setting preferred
- Radiograph certification (for LDA applicants)
This role is a great fit if you are...
- Looking for supplemental income alongside another position
- Returning to dentistry after time away
- Semi-retired and want to stay clinically active
- Seeking flexibility without sacrificing a consistent team environment

Submit your resume and a brief note about your availability and licensure through Indeed, or contact us directly. We look forward to finding the right fit together.
