• This is a Float position - working between our Caledonia, La Crescent and Rushford locations.
• This position would be a Monday - Friday position, with occasional Saturday shifts with competitive wages.

Qualifications:

• Required:

o High School Diploma or GED

o Basic computer skills

o Excellent customer service skills

• Preferred:

o Pharmacy or medical related background

o Certification as a Pharmacy Technician

Job Description: The Float Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for assisting the pharmacists(s) with various tasks related to the filling/dispensing of prescriptions and caring for pharmacy patients/customers. They will also be responsible for traveling to multiple of our SE locations.

Core Competencies & Responsibilities:

• Complete necessary pharmacy technician training in a timely fashion
• Complete required continuing education annually
• Review patient information on the RX 30 system for accuracy
• Receive new prescriptions physically from patients
• Accept prescription refill authorizations via the telephone or fax
• Answer telephone in three rings
• Adhere to policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations
• Stay compliant with all statutes, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practice, both federal and state
• Monitor reimbursement of prescriptions to achieve optimal gross profit margins
• Help manage inventory levels to achieve optimal return on investment
• Represent yourself professionally to the community as a Pharmacy Technician
• Collect all information needed for billing Medicaid and Medicare for DME, supplies
• Help ensure that patients are counseled on all new prescriptions and on any refill
• Be aware of and support promotional activity within the pharmacy and Home Health Care category
• Provide the best possible service to all of our customers
• Accurately count and fill prescriptions for all patients
• Provide accurate/timely service to customers at the point of sale
• Collaborate with team members to ensure everyone is capable of fulfilling all pharmacy related tasks and training other employee
• Create a culture of positivity and excitement in the pharmacy/store
• Adapt quickly to company changes related to policy and workflow
• Clean work area and the pharmacy
• Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Work Demands:

• Must be able This position requires repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling for up to 15 pounds on a regular basis daily
• Must be able to stand, walk, crouch, stoop, kneel, bend and twist for up to 8 hours per day
• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Must be able to travel to our SE locations

• This position will be working in a pharmacy setting and normal climate and temperature.
