Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Floater to join our early childhood education team! In this vital role, you will serve as a versatile classroom assistant and substitute, ensuring seamless daily operations across multiple classrooms. Your energetic approach will support teachers, engage children, and promote a nurturing learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain comprehensive classroom experience while making a positive impact on young learners’ development. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers with curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Support classroom management by implementing behavior management strategies that foster positive social interactions and emotional growth
  • Engage children in educational activities focused on literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic development
  • Provide hands-on toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and supervising playtime to ensure safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver early intervention strategies for children with special education needs or developmental delays
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment aligned with childcare standards and child welfare policies
  • Contribute to standardized testing preparations and tutoring sessions to support individual student progress

Skills

  • Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning for early childhood settings
  • Proven experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers
  • Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention techniques
  • Expertise in classroom management, behavior management, and child welfare best practices
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education activities
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
  • Classroom experience in daycare or private school environments is highly desirable
