Job Title: Floater Teacher / Office Administrator
Reports To: School Director / Administrative Manager
Position Type: Full-Time (or Part-Time, depending on need)
Position Summary
The Floater Teacher/Office Administrator plays a dual role, supporting both the instructional and administrative functions of the school. This position provides classroom coverage as needed, ensures smooth daily operations, and assists with front-office responsibilities. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and comfortable working with students, families, and staff in a fast-paced educational environment.
Key Responsibilities Classroom Support (Floater Teacher – 50%)
- Provide coverage for teachers during absences, breaks, planning periods, or meetings.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment across multiple grade levels or classrooms.
- Implement lesson plans provided by classroom teachers and adapt as needed to support student learning.
- Assist with classroom activities, small-group instruction, and supervision of students.
- Support student transitions, behavior expectations, and school routines.
- Build rapport with students and contribute to a cohesive school culture.
Administrative Support (Office Administrator – 50%)
- Greet and assist students, families, staff, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general inquiries.
- Support attendance tracking, data entry, and student file maintenance.
- Assist with scheduling, communications, newsletters, and other clerical tasks.
- Manage incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and office supplies.
- Support event coordination and school operations as assigned.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational environment highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing needs and work across various classrooms and office tasks.
- Comfortable using computers, office software, and school communication systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and calm.
- Must pass background check and meet applicable licensing or state requirements.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
