Floater Teacher/Support Staff

<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Floater Teacher/Support Staff member to join our vibrant educational team. In this role, you will serve as a versatile presence within the classroom, providing essential support to lead teachers and ensuring a seamless learning environment for children. Your energetic approach will help foster a nurturing space where early childhood development, literacy, and social-emotional skills flourish. <Responsibilities>

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development strategies that promote childhood development, literacy education, and early intervention techniques.
  • Support classroom management by engaging children in age-appropriate activities, encouraging positive behavior, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Provide hands-on toddler care and preschool support, including supervising playtime, meal times, nap times, and daily routines.
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori principles, physical education activities, and standardized testing preparations.
  • Help create an inclusive classroom atmosphere by working with children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to foster respectful interactions and social skills among students.
  • Contribute to child welfare by monitoring developmental milestones and communicating observations to teaching staff.
  • Assist with classroom organization, lesson planning, and tutoring sessions to reinforce learning objectives across subjects such as math and literacy.

<Skills>

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, children, and parents.
  • Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments.
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories and classroom management techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development processes and lesson planning for preschool or toddler programs.
  • Ability to adapt quickly across different classrooms and age groups as a floater support staff member.
  • Understanding of special education needs and early intervention practices.
  • Skills in behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions.
  • Experience with Montessori methods or teaching physical education is a plus.
  • Proficiency in literacy education techniques and standardized testing preparation.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
