Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Daycare Floater/school age teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for children from infants to preschoolers
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Engage children in play-based learning experiences that foster social skills, creativity, and curiosity
- Step into various classrooms to cover staff absences or during busy periods, ensuring continuous supervision and care
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency responses when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages growth, exploration, and fun
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Classroom experience managing young children’s behavior through positive guidance techniques
- Familiarity with infant care routines such as feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not required; training can be provided if needed
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
