Floater/School-age teacher (hours 10-6)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Daycare Floater/school age teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! As a vital team member, you will provide flexible support across multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and learning
• Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for children from infants to preschoolers
• Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
• Engage children in play-based learning experiences that foster social skills, creativity, and curiosity
• Step into various classrooms to cover staff absences or during busy periods, ensuring continuous supervision and care
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency responses when necessary
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere that encourages growth, exploration, and fun

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar caregiving roles is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Classroom experience managing young children’s behavior through positive guidance techniques
• Familiarity with infant care routines such as feeding, diapering, and soothing techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not required; training can be provided if needed
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
