Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Covering Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials including tile, carpet, hardwood, and laminate. Your expertise in construction techniques, blueprint reading, and use of hand and power tools will ensure each project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to transforming spaces while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare work areas for flooring installation according to schematics and blueprints
• Remove existing flooring materials safely and efficiently
• Install a variety of flooring types such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with precision
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials
• Perform floor prep tasks including buffing, sealing, caulking, grinding and leveling as needed
• Read smanufacturer direction accurately to ensure proper layout and installation
• Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met or exceeded

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work
• Strong attention to detail, and willingess to learn, and take direction, and execute
• Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers; as well as power tools like saws and drills, ability to read a tape measure and use a level.
• Experience with carpentry, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and fixture installation is a plus
• Familiarity with all types of flooring installation is helpful
• Ability to read work orders accurately and follow detailed instructions
• Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols is essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Valid driver’s license preferred; handyman experience or remodeling background is advantageous

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
