Job Role
Position: Floor Manager
Department: Operations / Retail / Hospitality / Production (as applicable)
Reports To: Store / Operations Manager
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily floor operations to ensure smooth workflow and service quality.
Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure the floor is well-organized, clean, and presentable at all times.
Manage stock levels, inventory control, and replenishment of products/materials.
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, sales, housekeeping) for seamless operations.
2. Team Management
Supervise, train, and motivate floor staff to achieve performance goals.
Create staff schedules, delegate tasks, and manage shift rotations.
Conduct regular briefings and communicate daily targets or updates.
Handle employee issues and resolve conflicts promptly.
3. Customer Service
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service and problem resolution.
Address customer complaints or escalations efficiently and professionally.
Monitor customer feedback and suggest improvements.
4. Sales and Performance Monitoring
Track daily sales performance and ensure targets are met.
Assist in implementing promotions, visual displays, or floor layout changes.
Analyze floor performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
5. Safety and Compliance
Maintain safety and hygiene standards on the floor.
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and safety regulations.
Conduct regular checks to identify and address potential hazards.
6. Coordination and Reporting
Report daily operations, incidents, and staff performance to the Operations/Store Manager.
Support audits, stock counts, and administrative tasks.
Suggest improvements in processes and customer handling strategies.
