Summary:
FOH/Floor manager shares the responsibility of overseeing a high-volume, live entertainment, restaurant, brunch hours volume and nightlife. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and team members. The front of house manager will be the driving force of developing and motivating all staff to attain proper standards of performance. He/She will mentor and train the front of house team to grow into the same abilities. Additionally, the Foh manager is responsible for ensuring that the venue is functioning at its maximum potential with smooth and efficient guest service, as well as, providing overall venue and property support pertaining to Daylife/Nightlife Hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer satisfaction while performing duties
- Maintain patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings, initiating improvements, and building relationships with preferred patrons
- Delegate tasks to the team and provide follow-up
- Ensure the team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
- Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met
- Lead the recruitment process and training of staff (training, developing, testing, and coaching)
- Maintain food and labors costs, including managing inventory and hitting sales goals
- Build and promote teamwork through proactive interaction
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the venues preventative maintenance programs
- Assists and conducts conflict resolution, corrective actions and coaching
- Maintain open lines of communication with staff and managers, working closely with them to develop skills for growth including performance
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements
- Ensures nightly and/or weekly opening and closing side duties are followed
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations, including opening and closing duties
- Will oversee inspections of the venue, inside and outside, for cleanliness, compliance, and overall appearance.
- Attract patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs, evaluating program results, identifying and tracking changing demands
- Oversee the hiring and scheduling of musical talent for each quarter
Qualifications:
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction and be able to manage a large and diverse employee workforce, and be able to maintain staff moral
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Previous experience in a management role
- Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting, cost of sales, payroll management
- Knowledge of bar/restaurant operations, fine dining procedures, and beverage service
- Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, inventories and cost controls as it applies to bar product
- Knowledge of special events, catering and banquets
- Knowledge of state and local laws as it applies to liquor, labor, and health code regulations
- Knowledge Toast POS system required****
- Expert knowledge of OpenTable system required****
Education:
- ABC Certified
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- College degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience front of house manager, assistant manager of a fast paced, high volume restaurant, premium restaurant preferred*
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver’s License
- 21+ years of age
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
