Floor Stock Sales Associate

Merchants Wine & Spirits is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Floor Stock Sales Associate to oversee inventory management, sales, and ensure the store's shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will be efficient, proactive, and knowledgeable about product placement strategies in a retail liquor store setting, and leadership amongst a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
• Receive, unpack, and inspect deliveries to ensure product accuracy and quality.
• Organize backroom storage to optimize space and accessibility.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate restocking efforts to maintain full shelves.
• Merchandising:
• Ensure products are displayed according to store standards, including proper labeling, pricing, and promotions.
• Rotate stock to ensure freshness and prioritize high-demand or seasonal items.
• Implement merchandising plans for special events or featured products.
• Team Collaboration:
• Lead stock team and sales teams to identify fast-moving products.
• Provide guidance to stock clerks and ensure timely restocking during busy periods.
• Maintenance and Compliance:
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free sales floor and stockroom.
• Ensure all products comply with local and state liquor laws and store policies.
• Customer Support:
• Assist customers in locating specific items or making recommendations when needed.
• Address customer inquiries related to product availability and stock replenishment.

Requirements:

• Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a retail or stocking position, preferably in a liquor store or similar environment.
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Ability to lead and guide a team to maintain floor stock
• Familiarity with wine, spirits, and beer is a strong advantage.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic knowledge of inventory tracking systems and POS software.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
