Flooring and Tile Sales Consultant

Job Summary:

As a Flooring and Tile Consultant at Carpets Plus Flooring Designs, you will play a key role in helping customers choose the perfect flooring and tile solutions for their homes or projects. This includes working with retail clients, builders, and designers to select the most suitable options based on their needs, style preferences, and budget. Your responsibilities will extend from the initial consultation to closing the sale and following through with customers and installers through the installation process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Customer Consultations: Engage with retail customers, builders, and designers to understand their needs, offering expert advice on product selections.

- Product Knowledge: Stay informed on the latest home trends, materials, and features, including solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, LVP, laminate, tile, and carpet.

- Sales & Closing: Assist clients in making decisions, measure jobs, provide quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales.

- Order Management: Place orders, ensure accuracy in product selection, and coordinate with suppliers and the installation teams.

- Client Follow-Through: Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the process, ensuring satisfaction from selection to installation.

- Collaboration: Work closely with installers and the operations team to ensure timely and quality installations, providing clear and detailed instructions.

- Store Presentation: Help maintain an appealing and organized showroom, updating product displays as needed.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Previous sales experience in flooring, interior design, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

- Customer-Focused: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

- Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing multiple clients and ensuring all details of the sale and installation are executed properly.

- Technical Skills: Ability to use and learn computer programs.

- Motivated: A self-starter who is goal-driven with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members, including suppliers, installers and the operations team.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk in the showroom for extended periods.

- Assist with moving and organizing product samples.

- Ability to lift and move materials, up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
