Job Overview:
Haus of Puas, a queer, wahine-owned floral and event company, is seeking a highly organized and dependable Floral and Administrative Assistant to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who loves organization, client communication, and keeping operations flowing smoothly — with the flexibility to jump in on floral prep and the occasional event when needed.
The Floral and Admin Assistant will focus primarily on administrative operations including email management, invoicing, scheduling, and supporting our floral manager with daily shop tasks. This is a dynamic role within a creative environment where no two days look the same.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable using technology (email, GSuite, HoneyBook, Asana, POS systems)
- Ability to lift and carry floral materials when assisting
- Reliable transportation for deliveries or pickups when needed
- Friendly, professional, and team-oriented personality
- Floral or retail experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
- Manage inboxes and respond to client and vendor emails within 48 hours
- Send invoices, receipts, and proposals through HoneyBook
- Maintain and organize the manager’s Asana tasks and project timelines
- Support internal scheduling, meeting reminders, and day-to-day operations
- Assist with data entry, digital filing, and general office organization
Floral & Event Assistance (as needed):
- Help process and prep flowers (stripping, hydrating, cleaning buckets)
- Assist with placing flower or lei orders
- Join in on floral pickups from farms/wholesalers when requested
- Help with simple floral tasks such as assembling small arrangements or personals
- Provide support at wedding/event setups on an occasional basis (6–10 hour shifts may apply)
Shop Support:
- Help greet customers and assist with basic shop purchases
- Run sales using the shop POS system
- Restock vases, florals, gifts, and supplies
- Keep shop workspaces clean, organized, and welcoming
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift buckets and stand for extended periods during floral prep or events
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Professional, friendly communication when interacting with clients and vendors
- Willingness to learn floral basics and jump in where needed

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
