Floral Designer

Overview
Are you passionate about flowers and love working in a creative, fast-paced environment? We're looking for a reliable, energetic, and hardworking florist to join our friendly team 2-3 days a week and at least one Saturday (9am-1pm) per month. Floral design experience required.

Qualities we're looking for include artistic talent for creating designs, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to maintain relationships and work well with co-workers, attention to detail, organization skills to manage inventory and orders, as well as physical stamina to complete daily tasks.

Duties

• Design and create floral arrangements for various occasions.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their floral selections and offering expert advice on care and maintenance.
• Manage inventory by stocking flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality at all times.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Utilize strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively and address any inquiries or concerns.

Requirements

• Proven experience in floral design required
• Familiarity with retail sales practices, including retail math and merchandising techniques.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory levels and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
