Floral Designer Assistant

Floral Designer

- Approximately 15 - 20 hours per week

- Small, busy, full service flower shop with large delivery area, looking for team player to be a part of happy, positive store

Qualifications:

- Required 2 years of experience in a professional flower shop

- Training in all aspects of floral design (everyday, sympathy, event, wedding)

- Proper knowledge of fundamental design principals and techniques

- Proper knowledge of floral processing and handling

- Proper knowledge of names of flowers and foliage

- Geographical knowledge of New London County, a plus

- Clean Driver’s License

- Fully Vaccinated and Boosted

- Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet clients’ needs and expectations

Requirements:

- Must work efficiently, at a steady pace; and sometimes independently

- Ability / Willingness to learn to create in our brand styling

- Must be able to follow directions

- Successfully interpret clients’ wishes and guide them through selection process

- Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet clients’ needs and expectations

- Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently

- Computer literate

- Team player

Other:

- 5 hour shifts

- During peak / busy seasons will require extended work days

- Some weekend availability

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
