Floral Designer Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and customer service. This role involves crafting beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions while providing exceptional service to our clients. The Floral Designer will also assist with merchandising and maintaining the overall aesthetic of our retail space.

Duties

• Design and create floral arrangements for events, weddings, and everyday occasions.
• Provide expert advice to customers on floral selections and care.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends in floral design and horticulture.
• Assist with lawn care and landscape maintenance as needed.
• Manage inventory through effective stocking practices and merchandising displays.
• Operate POS systems for processing sales transactions, including cash handling.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store organization.
• Communicate effectively with customers in English; multilingual skills are a plus.

Experience

• Proven experience in floral design or related fields such as gardening or horticulture.
• Familiarity with retail sales practices, including cashiering and retail math.
• Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a clean workspace.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
