Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Florist for a short-term Valentine’s Day contract to support our team during our busiest season. This role is ideal for a skilled designer who can work efficiently under pressure, execute high-volume production, and maintain exceptional design standards in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Duration: Valentine’s Day week (with potential for extended hours before and on February 14)
Schedule: Flexible, extended hours required

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality floral arrangements for Valentine’s Day orders, including premium and large-scale designs.
• Assist with high-volume floral production while maintaining consistent quality and brand standards.
• Process, condition, and prep incoming flower shipments to ensure optimal freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of design stations, coolers, and work areas.
• Support order fulfillment, staging, and last-minute adjustments.
• Assist with loading, delivery prep, and on-site setups as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the design and operations team to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional floral design experience (retail or event).
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, holiday-driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of flower varieties, care, and handling techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and speed without compromising quality.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit fully to Valentine’s Day week.
• Valid driver’s license is a plus.
