Floral Designer/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Floral Designer/Customer Service professional to join our team. This role combines creative floral design with exceptional customer service, ensuring our customers receive beautiful arrangements and a memorable shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and retail sales, along with excellent communication skills. Multilingual abilities and experience with e-commerce platforms are a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where creativity meets customer satisfaction, supporting the growth of our floral and garden offerings.

Duties

• Create custom floral arrangements for various occasions, adhering to customer specifications and seasonal trends
• Assist customers in selecting flowers, plants, and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design options
• Manage retail sales transactions using POS systems, including cash handling and merchandising
• Maintain stock levels of flowers, plants, gardening supplies, and related merchandise through stocking and inventory management
• Support landscape maintenance and lawn care tasks as needed to enhance the store’s outdoor presentation
• Coordinate with the team on merchandising displays to attract customers and promote seasonal products
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, processing orders (including e-commerce), and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Assist with gardening, horticulture-related activities, and general store upkeep to maintain an inviting shopping environment

Skills

• Proven experience in floral design, horticulture, or gardening is highly desirable
• Strong retail sales skills with knowledge of retail math and POS systems
• Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently
• Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and floral arrangements efficiently
• Knowledge of landscaping maintenance, lawn care, or outdoor plant care is beneficial
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms for online orders and customer engagement
• Customer service expertise with a friendly demeanor and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
