Floral Designer/Customer Service

La Paloma Blanca Floral Designs is seeking an experienced Florist for a year-round, part time position. This role is ideal for a skilled designer who can produce high quality floral arrangements, maintain a high level of customer service, and assist the team with holidays, events, and everyday occasions. We serve the North Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Rio Verde areas with exceptional floral designs, gifts, plants, and customer service.

• Design and produce high-quality floral arrangements for orders, including premium and large-scale designs. This will include various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and funerals.
• Assist customers with selecting appropriate flowers for their needs in person and over the phone.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns.
• Enter orders into the online point of sale system, send and receive orders via the wire services, and organize outgoing orders for delivery.
• Process all transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure that all floral arrangements are completed in a timely manner while maintaining consistent quality and brand standards.
• Process, condition, and prep incoming flower shipments to ensure optimal freshness.
• Help maintain a sales ready appearance for the cooler and display areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of design stations, coolers, and work areas.
• Support order fulfillment, staging, and last-minute adjustments.
• Assist with loading, delivery prep, and on-site setups as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the other team members and contribute to a professional team culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional floral design experience (retail or event). Floral Certificate Preferred.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, holiday-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of flower varieties, care, and handling techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and speed without compromising quality
• Point of sale and wire service experience

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
