Floral Designer/Manager

Overview
We are seeking a talented and organized Floral Designer/Manager to join our vibrant team. This role combines creative floral design with managerial responsibilities, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient store operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, horticulture, and retail management, along with strong communication skills and a keen eye for merchandising. Bilingual abilities and experience in e-commerce are a plus, enabling us to serve a diverse customer base effectively.

Duties

• Design and create custom floral arrangements for various occasions, maintaining high standards of artistry and quality.
• Manage daily store operations, including inventory control, stocking, and merchandising to ensure an appealing shopping environment.
• Oversee floral department staff, providing training and guidance on floral design techniques, customer service, and retail procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, offering expert advice on floral selections and plant care.
• Operate POS systems, process transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Maintain knowledge of horticulture, gardening, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and floral trends to enhance product offerings.
• Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of flowers and gardening supplies; manage stock levels efficiently.
• Support e-commerce sales channels by updating online product listings and managing order fulfillment when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and cleanliness protocols within the store environment.

Experience

• Proven experience in floral design or related horticultural fields such as gardening or landscape maintenance.
• Previous retail management or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customers.
• Knowledge of floral design principles combined with skills in lawn care, landscaping maintenance, or horticulture is desirable.
• Experience in e-commerce platforms or online sales management is a plus.

Pay: $21.44 - $25.82 per hour
