Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on hospitality-related matters, including estate planning, environmental law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
• Conduct thorough legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation and legal opinions.
• Draft and review legal documents, contracts, policies, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Negotiate agreements and settlements on behalf of clients or the organization to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Stay current with evolving laws and regulations affecting the hospitality industry to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop strategies that align with legal standards and business objectives.
• Manage multiple cases or projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain organized records of legal research, case files, and correspondence within the law office management system.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Valid license to practice law in <LOCATION>.
• Proven experience in hospitality law or related fields such as estate planning, environmental law, or litigation.
• Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
• Excellent writing skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and handle complex legal issues.
• Prior experience in a law office setting or legal administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of legal research methods and tools essential for supporting casework.
• Exceptional analytical skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to legal work.
