The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for

Childcare Assistant Teacher

in the

Childcare Center

at Frances Meeks Elementary School, for the

2026-2027 school year.

Position Overview

The Co-Teacher works collaboratively with other staff members and children in day to day activities in the classroom and helping to create a safe and caring environment. Assists in all activities to improve the overall care and quality of education.

Job Qualifications

Child Development Associate credential or 6 hours of Early Childhood Education credit preferred

Minimum of 1 year of childcare experience

Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain these)

Ability to form positive relationships with children.

Knowledge of social, emotional needs of children.

Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum implementation.

Adequate knowledge on principles and policies of safety and suitable activities for children.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
