FOH - POOL SERVER

Seasonal Pool Server

Wage: Minimum of $16.30 per hour base wage, plus an automatic 20% service charge

Hours: Seasonal or part-time (20-40 hours per week).

Poolside dining services are typically open Memorial Day Weekend through September, with shifts available seven days a week from 11AM–9 PM.

Reports to: Hospitality Supervisor, Clubhouse Manager

Position Overview:

Portland Golf Club’s Seasonal Pool Servers provide exceptional service to Members and their guests in a relaxed poolside setting. Servers must be highly attentive, personable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. This role is perfect for those who thrive in warm-weather hospitality and enjoy engaging with members in a fun and social atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and efficient service to members dining at the pool.
• Take food and beverage orders promptly and accurately.
• Serve drinks and food while maintaining high hospitality standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate their needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and poolside dining areas.
• Ensure compliance with food and alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing duties for the poolside dining area.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced dining or poolside setting preferred but not required. This would be a great opportunity for a recent grad.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Current food handler’s card
• Flexible scheduling
• Friendly, team-oriented, and proactive in providing excellent guest service.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a dynamic poolside environment.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
