FOH Shift Lead/Bartender/Server

Job Overview

Steadfast Diner is a farm-to-table restaurant dedicated to serving fresh, thoughtfully sourced meals in a warm and welcoming environment. Located right next to Steadfast Farm, we are proud to be directly connected to the land and people that grow much of the food we serve. Our mission is to provide a dining experience that reflects our care for the community, the environment, and every guest who walks through our doors.

We are looking for passionate, team-oriented individuals who are excited to be part of a growing operation that puts customer service and hospitality at the forefront. This is a hybrid position that will consist of management shifts and bartending/serving shifts. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic and coffee beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Deliver attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service to every guest.
  • Work closely with team members in a collaborative and respectful environment.
  • Share the story and values behind our farm-to-table concept with customers.
  • Assist with daily operations including taking orders, running food and beverages, and supporting service flow.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or POS system.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol service regulations.
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods.
  • Lead and manage shifts to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support and direct team members throughout service.
  • Maintain high standards of hospitality, food quality, and cleanliness.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper cash handling.
  • Opening or closing of cash drawer on scheduled management shifts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a Bartender/Server/Barista or in a similar role within the food service industry is required. Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and community-focused dining.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Team-oriented with a hands-on leadership style.
  • Open availability and the ability to work either opening or closing shifts.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively resolve guest and employee conflicts.
  • Interest in sustainable agriculture, local sourcing, or farm-to-table food is a plus!

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $32.00 per hour
