FOH/Barista Leader

Wild Strawberry Cafe is looking for a strong Lead Front of House Leader to join our Laguna Beach team. We’re looking for someone who naturally takes charge, leads by example, and genuinely cares about creating an amazing customer experience while keeping café operations running smoothly and up to standards.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, enjoys leading a team, and wants to be heavily involved in the day-to-day flow of operations. We’re looking for someone wanting consistent hours, ideally 5 days per week, including weekends.

Position Overview

The Lead Front of House Leader will help oversee daily front-of-house operations, support and guide the team during busy shifts, and ensure the café stays organized, efficient, welcoming, and operating at a high standard at all times.

We want someone with strong barista and cashier experience, excellent people skills, leadership qualities, and the confidence to step in wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support front-of-house team members throughout shifts

• Ensure customer service, cleanliness, organization, and café presentation stay up to Wild Strawberry standards

• Prepare high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and café beverages

• Take customer orders and handle cashier/POS operations efficiently

• Help manage flow during busy rushes and keep the team organized

• Train and support newer team members as needed

• Maintain a positive, upbeat atmosphere for both customers and staff

• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with both front and kitchen teams to keep operations smooth

• Step into leadership naturally and help problem solve when needed

Qualifications

• Prior lead barista, supervisor, or management experience preferred

• Strong barista and cashier/POS knowledge

• Natural leadership skills and ability to take initiative

• Friendly, professional, and upbeat personality

• Strong communication and team skills

• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

• Reliable, punctual, and dependable

• Weekend availability required

• Looking for someone wanting 5–6 days per week

Pay: $23-$24/hour based on experience

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
