Food and Beverage Operations Supervisor

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor supports the Director of Operations in the day-to-day operations of our boutique hotel and lounge. This is a hands-on, on-site role for a hospitality professional who is eager to grow, leads by example on the floor, and takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible, active presence in Lounge during meal periods and service hours, leading the team by example
  • Assist the DO in overseeing daily restaurant, bar, and room service operations to ensure smooth, consistent service
  • Supervise, support, and motivate staff during shifts, providing real-time coaching and guidance
  • Open and close Henry’s according to established procedures, ensuring the team is prepared, the space is guest-ready, and all checklists are completed
  • Monitor guest flow and service pacing to ensure an efficient and enjoyable dining experience
  • Address guest concerns or service issues promptly and professionally, escalating to the DO when appropriate
  • Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding of new team members, and ongoing training to uphold service standards
  • Monitor and replenish supplies, place orders as directed, and assist with inventory counts
  • Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met and maintained throughout every shift
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timing, quality, and presentation meet the hotel's standards
  • Support the planning and execution of private dining, in-house events, and special programming
  • Take ownership of ongoing improvement projects as assigned by the DO

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of food and beverage experience with at least some supervisory or lead responsibility
  • A strong desire to grow into a senior management role
  • Dependable and consistent — someone the team can count on to be present, engaged, and solutions-oriented every shift
  • Hands-on work style with a willingness to jump in wherever needed, including bussing tables and running food as needed
  • Warm, confident leadership presence with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of food and beverage service standards, table management, and guest relations
  • Familiarity with POS systems (Toast) and basic reporting
  • Food handler certification and responsible alcohol service certification required
  • Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

This is a full-time, on-site, hourly position embedded in the daily rhythm of our boutique hotel. The Operations Supervisor is expected to be a constant, reliable presence — always on the floor, always engaged, and always working to elevate the guest experience and support the team.
