Food & Beverage Bar Service Attendant
Primary Objective
To provide exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner while ensuring the bar and service areas are fully stocked, clean, and operating smoothly in accordance with company standards and all applicable laws.
Essential Functions
· Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
· Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately using suggestive selling techniques.
· Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established standards.
· Anticipate guest needs, handle special requests, and resolve complaints promptly.
· Present checks, process payments, and properly handle cash, credit cards, and room charges.
· Prepare bar supplies including mixers, garnishes, fruit, and ice.
· Maintain stock levels and conduct opening and closing inventory.
· Ensure proper set-up and breakdown of bar and service stations.
· Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, glassware, equipment, and service stations.
· Adhere to all alcohol service laws and health and safety regulations.
· Accurately document transactions and balance/close shifts properly.
Supportive Responsibilities
· Attend required meetings and training sessions.
· Assist team members and other departments as needed.
· Participate in deep cleaning and outlet maintenance.
· Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Strong knowledge of beverage preparation and service standards.
· Understanding of alcohol service laws and health regulations.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
· Basic math and computer/POS system skills.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
· Ability to push/pull carts up to 250 lbs.
· Ability to bend, squat, stoop, and work in confined spaces.
· Ability to work in varying temperatures (kitchens/freezers).
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous food and beverage experience preferred.
· Alcohol Awareness and Food Handler Certification required (or ability to obtain).
· Must meet minimum age requirements to serve alcohol.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
