Maintenance Technician – American Berry Company

Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in keeping plant equipment, systems, and facilities operating efficiently and safely. You’ll perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repairs, and technical support across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems to support production and reduce downtime in a fast-paced food processing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment, support systems, and plant infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly to minimize production interruption.
- Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation to guide repairs.
- Install replacement parts and assist with equipment upgrades and adjustments.
- Support preventative maintenance programs, including scheduled inspections and parts replacement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work orders.
- Assist with facility upkeep and general building maintenance tasks as needed.
- Work safely and follow established safety protocols and food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to prioritize maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training, apprenticeship, or associate degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, ideally including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated or computerized equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and control logic.
- Basic welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly skills.

Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
